For 'Natty Will Fly Again' Harrison Stafford once again traveled to Jamaica; this time not to take place behind the microphone himself, but as a producer and musician (Stafford plays bass, drum and guitar on the album) to collaborate with three roots Veterans: 'Congo' Ashanti Roy, Pablo Moses and Winston Jarrett. The fact uniting three tenors of this caliber creates fireworks speaks for itself; 'Natty Will Fly Again' is nothing less than a roots gem that sounds as if it was recorded somewhere in the nineteen seventies, the golden age of roots reggae and Jamaican vocal trios. Standing out in the track list are 'More Mandela', a tribute to the late Nelson Mandela, who passed away at the end of last year, in which South African influences can be heard, the great nyahbinghi song 'Hallelujah' and 'Poor People', which has a similar vibe. For now the project will only be playing live at this summer's Reggae Sun Ska Festival in France, but to a European tour yours truly for one wouldn't say no!
