In southeastern Europe, after the violin, the clarinet is just about the most important instrument, with each region developing its own playing style and technique. For 'Many Languages One Soul', the Piranha label went in search of some of the best clarinet players the Mediterranean region has to offer and formed the super-group Balkan Clarinet Summit. In addition to this mesmerizing album, the project was also the subject of a short documentary by Spanish director Horacio Alcala.
