With 'Fabiola', Da Lata, the London collective around Chris Franck and Patrick Forge, finally returns after an absence of ten years. 'Fabiola' picks up where 'Serious' (Palm Pictures, 2003) left off and the duo still guarantees a tasty mix of Western electronics and dance with elements from Brazilian ('Deixa' featuring Jandira Silva, 'Um Amor A Mais' featuring Luisa Maita) and West African music ('NYJ' featuring Diabel Cissokho) as well as the spoken word tradition of Last Poets or Gil Scott-Heron ('Monkeys And Anvils' featuring Rich Medina & Finn Peters) or even a more rock inspired track ('Don't Give It Up' featuring Luiz Gabriel Lopes & Fabricio FBC). Groovy tip!
