Shakin' Weld, our loyal purveyor of ska-music from the most unexpected places this time introduces us to Majorcan band Dinamo. This quintet may be operating from Mallorca, the different band members have roots that reach from Argentina all the way to Australia. If their debut, 'Desequilibro' (Punkaway Records, 2007) with influences from just about every conceivable music genre (rock, jazz, folk, Balkan...) still sounded fairly eclectic, then for their new album 'Zoo Digital' they resolutely opted for a Latin ska sound that reminded yours truly immediately of New York based King Chango: ska with a Spanish accent, that will certainly not be out of place on the upcoming summer festivals!
