Nick 'Digital-T' Dubateers, Ian 'Jah Waggys' Wagstaff and Glen 'Vibesmaster', in dub circles better known as Dubateers, have been going at it for more than a decade already and are celebrating the occasion with the release of 'A Decade Of Dub', a compilation of their best work. The result is a collection of 22 UK dub and steppers tracks of which opener 'Never Stop Praise Jah', the Dubateers' version over the World A Music riddim with Singer Blue on vocals, and 'Jah Make We', again featuring Singer Blue (over the Dr. Who riddim, based on the theme tune of 'Doctor Who), caught our attention.

Far less impressed we were with 'One Day', the new album by Jamaican singjay Zareb (formerly Mr. Flash) which was also produced by Dubateers. Zareb's voice and flow don't always seem to match with the Dubateers riddims, resultin in a number of quite monotonous sounding songs ('Jah Jah A Di Ruler', 'War', 'Jah Is The Only One'...). Could still somewhat charm us: 'Congo Bongo Natty' and title track 'One Day', the only song of which a dub version was also included in the track list.
