Guitarist/composer Ebo Taylor has been a key figure in the Ghanaian highlife and afrobeat scene for several decades now. 'Love And Death' is one of his rare solo releases and was recorded with Berlin based Afrobeat Academy (a collective counting members from Poets of Rhythm, Kabu Kabu and Marijata). Strut Records gave the album cover a nice vintage look, but the tracks on 'Love And Death' (a mixture of old hits like 'Victory' and title track 'Love And Death' and new songs) also breathe that same vibe. Classic groovy afrobeat played the way we love it!
