On 'Combat Disco Casbah' Marco Pampaluna and his gang again serve their tasty mix of Balkan music, ska, circus marches and the Western soundtracks of Ennio Morricone (and we're probably still forgetting a few styles). In addition, Figli Di Madre Ignota for this album received the help of Balkan Beat Boxers Tamir Muskat and Uri Kinrot. At times 'Combat Disco Casbah' sounds a tad rougher than predecessor 'Fez Club' and although the title and album cover might suggest otherwise, the Oriental influences have been deprecated somewhat to make place for Latin rhythms like cumbia and rumba.
