The red thread running through this new and relatively short (9 tracks) Groundation album is Bob Marley. The Californian band not only managed to persuade Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt to convince a vocal contribution, but also invited Neville Garrick, in the past responsible for the album art for Marley classics like 'Exodus', 'Confrontation' and 'Survival', to do the cover design for 'A Miracle'. That being said one could just as well argue that the combination of the cover design, featuring the silhouette of a pregnant girl, combined with opting only to invite female guest vocalists for 'A Miracle', gives this album an undeniable feminine touch. Even though Groundation seems to allow more and more space for the jazzy side of their music (the long and beautiful piano and organ solos by Marcus Urani), this is certainly not the band's most inaccessible album to date.
