It had been since the release of Cocoa Tea's 'Biological Warfare' in 2007 since we last heard anything from Andreas 'Brotherman' Christophersen's Minor7flat5 label and we already started fearing the worst. Wrongly so, as it turns out, because Brotherman returns triumphantly with 'Serious Times', an album by none other than Horace 'Sleepy' Andy. As usual, a number of well-known Minor7flat5 riddims (Upside Down, Bodo...) return. Even though 'Serious Times' is a quite intimate album in nature, this is once again a nice balanced roots production. A special mention goes to 'False Witness' and 'Cool It Down', two songs on 'Serious Times' offering just a bit more than the other tunes in the track list.
