Jamaram is a German band from Munich founded in 2000 by lead singer Tom Lugo, drummer Max 'Murxen' Alberti and guitarist Samuel Hopf. Lugo is actually of Puerto Rican descent, which explains the use of Spanish (next to English and German) and the influences from Latin music in the repertoire of Jamaram. For those who still have to get to know the band, 'Almost Hits', a euphemistically entitled 'Best Of' compilation supplemented with some live tracks and a bonus DVD containing a forty minute documentary about their tour with the Zimbabwean Acoustic Night Allstars, offers an ideal introduction.
