With their mix of pop, Balkan beats, dub and reggae, La Cherga is pretty much yours truly's favorite Balkan fusion act. With 'Revolve' La Cherga delivers a second album, the biggest difference with their debut 'Fake No More' being the arrival of Bosnian Adisa Zvekic, replacing Irina Karamarkovic as the voice of the band. 'Revolve' sounds less frivolous and poppy than predecessor 'Fake No More' exampled by 'One', a heavy metal influenced song for which the band got the assistance of Almir Hasanbegovic vocalist with Bosnian band Dubioza Kolektiv. La Cherga's power lays in the fact they continue to evolve, something they hint at themselves with the title of this new album.
