Sexagenarian Leroy Anthony Hamilton aka Likle Mystic is one of those Jamaican artists who, despite frantic attempts, only got the recognition he deserved in the autumn of his life when in 2010 he met the members of Panamanian band Raices Y Cultura. That meeting led to a first single ('Shotta') and after collaborating with ZiggyBlacks Productions from Italy, Mystic was finally able to present his debut album 'Solvation' in 2013. For the seven track 'Jamaica Island In The Sun' EP Mystic once again joined forces with the Roman production house. For those who, like yours truly, still have to get to know Likle Mystic, this EP is an absolute must. Title track 'Jamaica Island In The Sun' is a catchy ode to our favorite Caribbean island and 'Blazing Fire' is a classic roots tune over a melodica driven riddim. 'Flames & Thunder', a new roots track that was already featured on the one riddim compilation 'Puff Puff Riddim', makes for a Belgian connection as that riddim was produced by Marc Leys aka MacLes.
