The reggae genre continues to gain ground, as illustrated by 'Wanderer', the second album by Lithuanian reggae formation Ministry Of Echology. The ten-piece band was founded by Juozas aka Eazystyle MC in 2009, initially still focusing on a repertoire of songs over well-known reggae riddims. The first version of Ministry Of Echology, then still Ministry Of Echology meets Eazystyle MC, was short-lived, but the band made a fresh start with a modified lineup and after 'Notes & Quotes', their 20014 long player debut, there's now this 7 track successor for which the band took to the Big Jelly Studios in Ramsgate. Eazystyle MC seems to have disappeared and these days singers Dominyka and Elena and saxophonist/percussionist Martynas deal with lead vocals. 'Wanderer' opens with the lightweight love tune 'Inna Vilnius City', but then goes ska for 'Healing Music' and continues with the rootsy 'How Much Longer'; a varied track list indeed. Top track is without the slightest doubt the extended title track 'Wanderer', ending in a delicious dubby outro. Excellent poppy reggae with a touch of punk attitude.
