Patrick Josafath aka Patko, a French-Guyanese with Surinam roots, previously was a member of the French band L'Année Du Singe, but now releases his solo debut 'Just Take It Easy'. Patko smoothly jumps back and forth between French, Creole and English (with a slight French accent) in a style somewhat reminiscent of that of Lyricson; something that is probably no coincidence, as the two collaborated on several occasions in the past. On top of that Lyricson used Patko's Boss No Gun riddim for 'Revolution Start'. In the solid dancehall track 'Dom-Tom', Patko explains us where his roots lie (Dom-Tom or "départements d'outre-mer" refers to the French overseas territories, often islands that in one way or another are still controlled by France). Yours truly has nothing especially negative to report about 'Just Take It Easy', but the album is too much of a lightweight to linger.
