Perfect is not afraid to stick his neck out, because instead of delivering a good reggae album every so often, he likes to experiment with other genres. That's definitely also the case on 'French Connection' (again distributed by the Austrian Irievibrations Records also responsible for Perfect's previous album 'Born Dead With Life') for which Perfect once again collaborated with French producer (hence the album title) Sherkhan. 'French Connection' is at the very least an interesting and daring album and contains plenty of good roots tracks ('Absolute Blessings' a duet with Sizzla, 'Ruff Time' or 'Mount Zion') to keep ordinary reggae lovers interested, but is also one of these albums that needs to grow on you. Definitely recommended listening for those who like to diversify their musical menu once in a while!
