From the generation of Boboshanti artists (think Sizzla, Capleton, Anthony B...) we always had a preference for Perfect. The singjay isn't afraid to stray from the beaten path and, as once again proven by the sleeve design of 'Reggae Farm Work', seems to dispose of the necessary humor and self-reflection. For 'Reggae Farm Work' Perfect joined forces with the crew of Irie Ites in France and that of course means fireworks. Moreover, this might well be the best Perfect album since 'Giddimani', his 2006 long player debut. Irie Ites has the habit of updating classic riddims and that's certainly no different on 'Reggae Farm Work': we recognized among others Party Time ('Wonderful People'), Cool Profile ('Marcus Fi Us') and Hot Milk ('Reason', with a sample from Barrington Levy's 'Murderer'). For Lorenzo's 'Please Mr Officer' Irie Ites already revisited the riddim to Mikey Dread's 'Roots And Culture' and now they created a dubstep remix of that same riddim. The most infectious song from the track list is 'Straight To Mi Heart', an energetic ganja tune over the Soulful Spirit riddim for which Perfect even shot a pretty hilarious clip. With 'Reggae Farm Work' Perfect and Irie Ites deliver one of the top releases for this year!
