Fans of France's most successful reggae and dancehall duo Raggasonic had to be patient for over ten years to see their heroes share the stage again and for the release of this new album, 'Raggasonic 3', the wait was longer still. Although Big Red & Daddy Mory moved away from rehashing classic Jamaican riddims, like they did on their two previous albums (exception in the track list is 'Dans La Rue' on the well-known Skateland Killer riddim, a revamp of Eek-A-Mouse's 'Star, Daily News Or Gleaner') and, apart from Lukie D who stepped in for an interlude, no guests were invited to contribute to the album. The tracks on 'Raggasonic 3' still sound rock-solid though; something that is probably to a large extent the merit of producer Frenchie, who once again proves to be among the best reggae producers of his generation. Mory & Red haven't lost touch with the latest musical evolutions, proven by successful grime and dubstep tracks like 'Grime Style' and 'Monkey Star'.
