This time the Soundway Records label did not opt for a compilation album, but decided to rerelease the soundtrack to 'Black Goddess' (aka 'A Deusa Negra'), a Nigerian-Brazilian cult movie from the 1970s. The soundtrack of the film is the work of Remi Kabaka, who, together with Biddi Wright, Dele Okonkwo and Joni Haastrup experimented with afro-jazz. The album has its moments (the great ten minute long title track 'Black Goddess'), but we suspect this will only appeal to a niche audience.
