Although Sound Dynamik, a trio from the French city of Le Mans, evolved from the One Vibe collective formed in 1999, have already been active since 2005, 'Reste A L'Ecoute' is actually their first long player (in 2006 Don Pako, Puppa Nadem and Singa Melody already released a first mixtape, followed by Pako's solo album 'Présent Pour L'Avenir' and the 'L'Etau Se Reserre' EP by Nadem). The track list of 'Reste A L'Ecoute' counts no less than eighteen songs, so quantitatively this album certainly leaves nothing to complain about. The trio brings nicely flowing French raggamuffin, at times supported by a well-known riddim (Rockfort Rock for 'Pour Ma Soirée', Revolution for 'Revolution' or a reworking of Promised Land for 'La Voix Du Peuple') and featuring a number guest vocalists to add that little extra (Skarra Mucci, Ras Mc Bean, Taïro, Lord Bitum, Brahim...). Song titles like 'Vivre Libre', 'Revolution' or 'La Voix Du Peuple' need little explanation. Standing out from the rest are 'Madame La Juge' featuring Rahib, whose Arab lyrics create a Dub Incorporation-like vibe, and the Brazilian influences (Portuguese lyrics, berimbau) that pop up in the hip-hop-influenced 'Numero Um' and the extended version of that same song added to the track list as a bonus track.
