For 'Honoring The Kings Of Reggae' Suga Roy and Conrad Crystal, joined for the occasion by Zareb, rehash the idea they already came up with in 2009 for 'Suga Roy & Conrad Crystal And The Great Reggae Icons'. On this album, produced by Bobby Digital, you'll find 19 covers of classics by, among others, Jacob Miller ('Mixed Up Moods'), Bob Marley ('So Much Trouble In The World'), Burning Spear ('Slavery Days'), Jimmy Cliff ('I Can See Clearly Now') and Desmond Dekker ('007/Shanty Town'), albeit all with a slightly different title. It's certainly not badly done and the presence of a whole range of guests (Sizzla, Jah Mali, Busy Signal, Terry Linen, Burro Banton, Krymist and Gyptian) gives the versions some extra flavor, but we're just not real amateurs of these kinds of tribute albums.
