Yours truly got to know The Moon Invaders a few years ago as backing band for artists like Pat Kelly, Rico Rodriguez and Doreen Schaeffer; a Belgian version of The High Notes so to speak. At those concerts their own songs sounded far from bad either and with Matthew Hardison, The Moon Invaders can also count on a charismatic front man. The Moon Invaders may be Belgian, with the presence of the Hardison brothers, New Orleans is never far away and that both musically and lyrically ('Blow Blow Blow' is a song about the hurricane Katrina disaster that struck the city in 2005). In December of 2009 The Moon Invaders played the AB Club twice to record this live album which is an enticing disc to say the least. A nice introduction for those who haven't seen The Moon Invaders play live yet and for all others a nice souvenir. New Belgian pride!
