The Scrucialists is the story of four friends who built a studio in the Swiss city of Basel (which quickly became the place to be in the Swiss reggae scene) and 'All The Way' is the realization of their dream to go to Jamaica and record an album with their idols. The resulting album is nothing to be ashamed of; with the aid of big guns like Luciano, Ward 21 and Michael Rose, 'All The Way' sounds top. All those guest appearances make 'All The Way' sound a bit like a compilation album though, because if one ignores to read the accompanying liner notes it's easy to forget about the band backing these famous names, and surely that can't have been The Scrucialists' intention?
