The Strides, a colorful bunch from Sydney, finally puts Australia on the reggae map. That being said 'Reclamation' is not a reggae album in the strictest sense of the word as The Strides serve their own recipe of reggae, (jazzy) afrobeat and hip-hop (upcoming Fijian talent MC Lil Gzeus) and that all tastes far from bad. The reggae songs on the album ('Storm Cloud', 'Fresh Lady') are reminiscent of Easy Star All Stars, enough to make you curious no?
