In addition to Greensleeves ('Evolution Of Dub') the Pressure Sounds label now also focuses on dub with the re-release of 'Pleasure Dub', a never before released dub album from the stable of Treasure Isle. After the death of producer/owner Duke Reid the label was run by Errol Brown, who, in the mid-1970s, recorded three dub albums: 'Treasure Dub Volume 1', 'Treasure Dub Volume 2' and this 'Pleasure Dub'. The first two already appeared on CD a few years ago, but 'Pleasure Dub' remained an obscure collector's item for vinyl lovers. Originally the album counted twelve tracks but for this reissue was supplemented with six bonus tracks, all dub versions of well-known Treasure Isle classics like 'The Tide Is High', 'Things You Say You Love' or 'Riding On A High' (which reggae fanatics will definitely recognize from the work of Bitty McLean or U Roy), played by none other than Tommy McCook and his Supersonics (Ernest Ranglin, Lynn Taitt, Clifton 'Jackie' Johnson, Herman Marquis...). Essential pick!
