As we never got to hear his 2012 effort 'Feeling Irie', for yours truly I had been since 'Two Roads', released by Easy Star Records back in 2000, that Triston Palmer (or Palma as he calls himself these days) treated us to a new long player. Triston did all the production work on 'Lifetime' himself and put together a nice guest list featuring both well-known artists like Kojak (also known as Nigger Kojak) and Lone Ranger, as newcomers San Diego born Chelly Jane and rapper Rashad. Even though songs like 'What A Nice Vibe' (with vocal contributions from Kojak and Danny English) or the breakup vibes of 'She's Gone', can certainly convince, they fade in comparison with 'Why', a smashing duet with none other than Sizzla over the Death In The Arena riddim. The r&b/hip-hop vibes of 'Higher' and the heavy dubstep of 'Bad Man Nah Take Talk' were less to our taste.
