For TwoManTing (not to be confused with Two Man Sound, one of the numerous projects by musical centipede Lou Deprijck) Jah-man Aggrey and Jon Lewis join forces. The Sierra Leonean percussionist and British guitarist met during their shared involvement with English world music band Le Cod Afrique. With a repertoire consisting of maringa or palm-wine ('Fatou', 'Push Mek Ar Pass', 'Ar Lek U'...), highlife ('Jomp En Tonorbur', 'O Dar Bor/Goodbye Song') and reggae ('Righteous Man', 'Guns Of Brixton'), the duo mostly explores the musical roots of Aggrey. The most notable tracks from 'Say What?' are opener 'Fatou', an ode to Fatoumata Diawara, 'Guns Of Brixton', a not unpleasant cover of the eponymous song by The Clash, and 'Ask Me', in which Jah-man asks the pertinent question of why the civil war is always the first topic broached when Sierra Leone is mentioned.
