'Songs For Reggae Lovers', Greensleeves' annual valentine's soundtrack is already at its fourth edition meaning it's getting harder to fill the track list with decent lovers tunes. Opener of the double album is surprisingly enough Busy Signal - not your average lovers rock crooner - with a cover of Phil Collins' 'One More Night'. There are a number of mellow cover versions on the track list as well though: Gappy Ranks takes a stab at 'Just The Two Of Us' (originally by Grover Washington Jr. and Bill Withers), unfortunately using vocoder, and Pam Hall gives her take on 'I Will Always Love You' (for music quizzers: that song was of course immortalized by Whitney Houston, but the original version was by none other than Dolly Parton). A few classics also pop up in the track list (definitely check John Holt's 'Love I Can Feel', Ken Boothe's 'Everything I Own' or Freddie McGregor's 'Brandy'), but for this edition Greensleeves opted for a striking number of recent releases.
