For the release of the fifth and last part in their King Jammy's Dancehall series, you'll have to be patient a little longer, but in the meantime Dub Store Records is already presenting 'The Techniques & Friends'. As is customary with their compilations, this one was also given a subtitle, and 'Winston Riley's Rocksteady & Early Reggae 1968-1969' nicely summarizes what this 15 track collection is all about. In addition to the aforementioned Techniques, of which, Winston Riley was of course a member himself, meanwhile largely forgotten gems by formations like The Shades (the forerunner of The Techniques) and The Mad Lads. An exception is opener 'Your Love Is A Game', a song by Dave Barker (Dave & Ansel Collins).
