As the title implies, with this 'Half Century Dub', Steve Vibronics and Dougie Wardrop (Counscious Sounds) are celebrating fifty years of dub history. The track list contains dub reworkings of classics from the nineteen seventies and eighties like 'Jahoviah', a song by the recently departed Ronnie Davis, Freddie McGregor's 'Leave Ya' ('Leave Ya Dub') or Johnny Osbourne's 'Kiss Somebody' ('Dub Somebody'), but also a number of key tracks from both gentlemen's back catalogs ('Long Time Dub', a version of King General's 'Long Long Time', 'Jah Light, Jah Dub', a dub of Vibronics' 'Jah Light, Jah Love', or 'Babylon Dub Down', the dub of 'Babylon Fall Down' by Kenny Knots & The Bush Chemists), and even some brand new productions ('Blaze A Dub' and 'Hail Up Dub'). Especially among dub enthusiasts, both gentlemen need little introduction, so turn up those basses and start dubbing!
