For his fourth album and the first long player since the break with producer Berteaut 'Mr. Rude' Fleming's Rock 'N Vibes label, Ziggi Recado joined forces with Florida based Zion High Productions recording 'Therapeutic' with the help of "house band" Zion I Kings. The result is 'Therapeutic', Recado's most roots influenced album to date. Gone are the dancehall and cross-over vibes from his first three albums and instead we get a balanced album in which Ziggi alternates between new roots tunes (strong opener 'Masquerade', 'Talk About' and 'I'm Blaak', a song given a Latin vibe with the addition of a classical guitar) and lovers rock songs ('Love Injection', the breakup song 'Delete My Number' and 'Ras Got Love', a tune floating between nyahbinghi and r&b). With 'Don't Disturb' the track list of course also contains the almost obligatory, but in this case very successful, ganja tune and 'Earthstrong', a nice combination with Midnite's Vaugh Benjamin, is a birthday song with a reggae twist. The track on 'Therapeutic' that really tickled our fancy is 'JAH Mercy', a roots tune for which Ziggi is flanked by Ashanti 'Taranchyla' Reid, a singjay from Florida, and veteran vocalist Earl Sixteen. Ziggi Recado has reached maturity.
