Yours truly will probably never become a big fan of French band Danakil, but we have to admit 'Entre Les Lignes', already the Parisians' fourth album (not including live and dub albums), is far from a bad effort. In the track list the Beatles-cover 'Fool On The Hill' and 'Mahatma', a tribute to the Indian independence leader and pacifist Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, stand out. For this album Danakil, once again invited some nice guests (in the past the band already worked with, among others, Jah Mason, General Levy, Mighty Diamonds and U Roy): for title track 'Entre Les Lignes' they joined hands with Twinkle Brothers, but Groundation's Harrison Stafford and Marcus Urani and Ky-Mani Marley also made a contribution. Natty Jean is also present again; still listed as guest vocalist, but since his appearance on the 2011 'Echos Du Temps' album as good as a regular band member.
