Fool's Gold started as a hobby project for vocalist/bassist Luke Top and guitarist Lewis Pesacov. For Fool's Gold they created a unique blend of African music, krautrock and 1980s pop and dance. Luke, son of a mixed Iraqi/Russian marriage, spent his early years in Israel and alternates between English and Hebrew (giving the album an even more elusive character).
