Who thought the Inna The Yard revival would be limited to the earlier this year released 'Inna The Yard: The Soul Of Jamaica', was wrong, as with this long player by veteran Ken Boothe, Chapter Two Records now also presents a first new solo project in the series. The Inna De Yard recipe needs no further introduction and Boothe rerecorded 10 of his best-known songs ('Artibella', 'When I Fall In Love', 'Just Another Girl'… but 'Everything I Own' and 'Is It Because I'm Black' strangely enough are nowhere to be found in the track list) with in the new line up Robbie Lyn's piano playing of Robbie Lyn and Fixi's accordion especially standing out. First single from the album is opener 'Speak Softly Love', a song over the melody of Nino Rota's 'Love Theme From The Godfather', originally recorded by Boothe in 1974 and probably inspired by Andy Williams 1972 song of the same title. One of the most enchanting Inna De Yard albums to date!
