For 'Inlightment' Guyanese boboshanti Ras Mc Bean (sometimes also spelled Mac Bean) joined forces with Union World Music, the Austrian label which already presented Deliman's new EP earlier this year. This is clearly the kind of album gaining momentum every time you listen to it, leaving you with a classic new roots release that leaves little to be desired. On 'Inlightment' Mc Bean alternates between rather intimate tracks ('Love Govern The Earth', 'Surrender', a lovers rock tune that lets you discover Ras Mc Bean's excellent falsetto) and more up-tempo party tunes ('Steppin Out', a duet with Ilements, 'Love The Life You Live', 'Run Run Run' and 'Run For Cover'). Successful successor to Irie Ites 'Pack Up And Leave', already dating back to 2004.
