'Disques Debs International Vol.1: An Island Story' is the first compilation series of one of the most important French Caribbean labels, Guadeloupian Disques Debs International. The label was founded by Henri Debs in the nineteen fifties, and in the following five decades produced no less than 300 7inch singles and 200 LPs, in genres ranging from early biguines and boleros to zouk and reggae, playing a crucial role in the dissemination of French-Antillean culture.

KSD feat. Marina P - Bite The Dust EP (Homeys Records)

In recent decades several solid Johnny Clarke compilations have seen the light - there was 1991's 'Authorised Rockers' in Virgin's Front Line series, 1998's 'Dreader Dread' on Blood & Fire and 2002's 'A Ruffer Version - Johnny Clarke At King Tubby's 1974-78' on Trojan Records - but with 'Creation Rebel', 17 North Parade/VP Records now bundles 30 of the man's best tracks on two discs or LP's.
