This 'Mirror/Reflect & Rise' EP by Aketi Ray, an acoustic dub-jazz ensemble from London (Kevin Robinson - trumpet/flute/flugelhorn, Niko Rouger - saxophone, Danny White - piano, Darren McCarthy - double bass, Virgil Howe - drums, Rob Shipster - percussion, Mikus - melodica/percussion) serves as an appetizer for 'From Ever Since', the band's debut album that should see the light sometime later this year. More than the two tracks listed in the title (complemented by a remix and dub of the title track by Alpha & Omega) you'll not find on this EP, but it surely made yours truly long for more, because one has to admit, UK dub acoustic style, it's original to say the least!
