Just as dancehall keeps flirting with the American hip-hop scene, lovers rock releases are getting more and more r&b infused. Da'Ville's 'On My Mind' is no different; with the exception of a couple of songs (the excellent cover of the Freddie McGregor ballad 'And So I Will Wait For You' and the great roots tune 'Give Thanks'), most tracks on the album sound much too slick for yours truly's taste. The absolute killer tune on 'On My Mind' is without any doubt 'My Grade' on the still highly popular Jamrock riddim. To keep an eye on!
