Dinamo is a seven-piece latin-ska band from Majorca you could consider part of the Catalan mestizo movement. However, 'Ahora Bajo Y Arreglo Todo', a mix of up-tempo ska (opener 'Hoy', 'Nido De Perchas', closing track 'La Brisa'), reggae (the excellent lovers rock tune 'Creo' featuring a guest contribution by Mimi Maura, 'Traete A La Nena', mariachi meets reggae), cumbia ('Diamante', 'Quereme Bien') and cuarteto ('Los Que Mas Vale'), reminded yours truly more of Latin-American bands like Venezuelan Desorden Publico or Argentinean Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. Not quite coincidentally as it turns out, as Mario Siperman, keyboardist with the latter band, was responsible for the mastering of this album. Unassuming Balearic party album.
