Not easily digestible this 'Songs Unrecantable' by Berlin based Russian migrants of Ersatzmusika. The album gives an insight in how Eastern European music might have evolved without the constraints of the Communist regime and restrictions behind the former Iron Curtain. On 'Songs Unrecantable' the raw voice of singer Irina Doubrovskaja, doing her thing in English with a heavy Russian accent, dominates.
