The name Franziska might ring a bell for some of you, as two years ago this band from Milan was the winner of the Rototom European Reggae Contest. With 'Action', their third album to date, they're now focusing on Europe and the rest of the world. Compared to predecessor 'The New Sound Of Franziska' their style has become slightly more Jamaican and less Italian. 'Action' contains something to everyone's taste from new roots ('More Love', 'The Herb') over dancehall ('People Rise') to some nice dub. Not every song attains the same level and sometimes the lyrics sound too simplistic ('Fighting For Freedom'), but with 'Action' Franziska proves they deserve their place in the European reggae scene.
