Pure reggae eighties icon Grace Jones has never produced, but her music always contained echoes from her homeland Jamaica, something that was probably also the doing of riddim twins Sly & Robbie with whom she collaborated at various occasions. Sly & Robbie also lend her a hand on 'Hurricane' (originally dating from 2008); what is more, almost all the former members of the Compass Point All Stars showed up (Sly & Robbie, Uziah 'Sticky' Thompson, Mikey Chung, Wally Badarou and Barry Reynolds). 'Hurricane' is now reissued with an added dub version of the album as the icing on the cake. And even though this is clearly dub for the advanced, the riddim twins clearly still got it. Absolute must for those daring to color outside of the lines.
