Henricci is a San Francisco based Nigerian singer. Even though he also makes a living as an artist painter, music has always remained his true passion. Henricci's earliest childhood hero was Michael Jackson, but growing up he also started gaining an interest in gangsta rap, listening to icons like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, and the afrobeat of his compatriot Fela Kuti. Henricci started spending more and more time at Fela's African Shrine, but after the demise of his idol in 1997, switched his focus to reggae and dancehall. And now there's 'Sister Caro', a 4 track EP and Henricci's musical debut. For the dancehall-flavoured title track, 'Sister Caro', he even knew to convince dance hall-icon Beenie Man. The most recognizable track is probably 'Around The World', a song for which Henricci dusted off the I Love riddim, known from, among others, Ziggi Recado's 'Need To Tell You This' and Luciano's 'Jah Deliver Us From All Evil'. Henricci describes his style as reggae-fusion and 'Sister Caro' is definitely a discovery for those who love the increasingly popular mix of reggae and dancehall with elements of r&b, hip-hop and pop.
