If we had to choose one release from Bristol Archive Records' spring offensive it would have to be 'Joshua To Jashwha: 30 Years In The Wilderness'. The whole story behind this album is already summarized in its title as the fifteen tracks on this disc sketch thirty years in the career of Jashwha Moses, a gifted roots singer from Bristol of whom only a handful rare tracks ever ended up in the commercial circuit. Moses wasn't in possession of the recordings of his own work, so gathering all the material for 'Joshua To Jashwha: 30 Years In The Wilderness' turned out to be quite a chore. The songs on this compilation date back to the period 1978 - 2003 and, according to Moses, illustrate his evolution from the struggling roots artist Joshua Moses to his rebirth as Jashwha Moses. Discovery of the year!
