In essence, Love Grocer is Zion Train's horn section. 'Across The Valley' is reminiscent of the work by Thievery Corporation and other projects with a loungy dub twist, without losing affinity with the roots of the music. This album debut by Love Grocer is more of an instrumental (sax, flute, guitar, percussion) than a real dub album, sometimes even more pop than reggae, but very surprising either way. Is this dub, dance, soul, funk, jazz or world music? Oh well, does it actually matter when you're dealing with craftsmanship like this? In fourteen tracks, with trombone and trumpet playing a key role, and with the help of guests Earl Sixteen, Dubdadda and Jonah Dan (Bush Chemists), Love Grocer takes you on a Sunday walk through their ideal valley. The summer has started!
