If we forget about opening track 'Momento', a tedious and redundant reggaeton tune, 'Great Expectations' is a Michael Rose album that will mainly please lovers of UK roots. 'Great Expectations' was recorded in London and sounds similar to Rose's two previous releases 'African Roots' and 'Warrior' (M Records, 2005 and 2006). That there's also a dub version of this album ('Dub Expectations') should come as no surprise.
