Under the name 80's Digital Classics the Greensleeves label is launching yet another series and two releases from the stable of digital Grand Master King Jammy are up first.

These days King Kong might well be a devout Rasta, in the nineteen eighties he was still an emerging talent in Jamaican dancehall. To contemporary standards 'Trouble Again' sounds a bit monotonous and dated, something that can't be said of the late Nitty Gritty's 'Turbo Charged' (Nitty was unfortunately assassinated in 1991). With highlights like 'Hog In A Minty', 'False Alarm' and 'Gimme Some A Your Something', which sound as fresh today as they did twenty-five years ago, 'Turbo Charged' can be classified as a classic album in the genre.
