For this 7 track 'The Journeyman' EP, Prezident Brown for a second time (in 2012 there was already the similar 'Do Thy Work' EP) joined forces with Sound Killaz Music, the production company of Matthew Radics and Jordan Rivah, the two sons of Jack Radics. Both opener 'The Cycle' and closing track 'Cramp And Paralyse' have a bit of a hip-hop vibe and didn't really appeal to yours truly, but tracks on 'The Journeyman' which certainly deserve your attention are 'Bullhead Mountain', an autobiographical song in which Fitz Cotterell takes us to Clarendon in the south of Jamaica, the area where he spent his childhood, title track 'Journeyman', a delightful nyahbinghi song, and 'One Roar (Flying Lion)', old school Prezident Brown as we know and like him. That being said, without any competition the catchiest track on this EP is 'Sorrow & Joy', a song over the riddim of the Steel Pulse classic 'Worth His Weight In Gold (Rally Round)' for which Prezident Brown invited veteran deejay U Brown. The Tower Man still stands his ground!
