Apart for the two 12inch releases 'Something Special' and 'Won't Suffer' it had already been since 2016 that Resonators took the studio last, but for 'Live At Electric', accompanied by dub master Darren 'Jamtone' Mathers, they headed to Brighton Electric Studios to give a number of tracks from their repertoire a revamp. The main intention was to try to evoke the vibe and sound of a live Resonators gig, but to our ears 'Live At Electric' sounded rather dubby, something we didn't mind in the slightest. Songs like 'All The Paths' from 'Imaginary People' or 'Helicopter' and 'Star In My Sky' from 'The Constant', can be completely rediscovered completely thanks to Jamtone's skills behind mixing desk. With 'Soul Connection', Resonators also present an excellent brand new track. Until further notice, these Brightonians remain one of our favorite English reggae bands. Top EP!
