Suga Roy and Conrad Crystal for the first time performed as a duo back in 2002 when they recorded 'True Love' (an older hit of Crystal) together. The song became an immediate hit and since then the two have become inseparable. In 2007 they already released their debut album 'Highest Grade' and now there's this successor 'Suga Roy & Conrad Crystal And The Great Reggae Icons' for which the duo revisit a number of reggae classics (Culture's 'Jah Jah See Them A Come', Dillinger's 'Cokane In My Brain'…) and invited reggae legends like The Mighty Diamonds, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Barrington Levy, U Roy, Max Romeo, The Congos, and so on. 'Suga Roy & Conrad Crystal And The Great Reggae Icons' is certainly not a bad album and it even includes a number of excellent party tunes, but we sincerely hope Crystal and Roy will opt for a more personal album again next time.
