Tony Tuff, once Sugar Minott's partner in African Brothers, is a somewhat underappreciated roots voice from the Jamaican music scene. Tuff can't boast a great output, but 2006 seems to be the year of his comeback. Earlier this year 'How Long' was released on Jah Shaka's label and now there's 'Say Something' on the German Minor7flat5 label. At times Tuff's voice is highly reminiscent of that of Earl Sixteen and several of the riddims (Wadada, Campo) we recognized from previous albums on the label. A very successful comeback for Tony Tuff and another impressive album in the catalogue of producer Andreas 'Brotherman' Christopherson!
